My position here was Planning Manager for Stateside Foods in Bolton. I had 3 direct reports working over a 7 day week to ensure production is planned maximising efficiencies whilst achieving 100% customer service level. Issuing achievable plans and reviewing efficiencies to flag up poor performing areas to the relevant managers. Generating material requirements for the Purchasing team and reviewing issues with material over usage with the Accounts team.
My role within Greggs was Supply Chain Manager. This involved setting up systems and procedures to generate schedules and plans to meet the shop requirements. Another part of the job was to introduce KPI measures to the shop floor to move the business forward. Within this role I had one direct report, the Warehouse Manager. This position was a key coordinator between Sales, Marketing, Logistics and Administration.
At VTL my role was Purchasing and Logistics Manager, part of the senior management team, reporting to the Managing Director with 3 Direct reports. I was responsible for the flow of material from order placement through to delivery with the customer. Whilst here I recruited a team to achieve the companies' goals and expectations. Set realistic targets and implemented training schedules to motivate the team. Worked closely with the suppliers to improve the delivery and quality issues. Met with the customers to explain non-delivery and action plans to improve the situation.
At Duerr's I was the Site Planner, reporting to the Logistics Manager and Operations Director. This involved generating plans and scheduling all lines within the factory to ensure high efficiencies and customer satisfaction. Within this role I had to ensure all Raw Materials were available for the plan with close consultations with the buyer. Order all Nut requirements for the peanut butter department. Review labour and capacity requirements with production mangers. Close consultations with the Sales department to ensure customer needs are met. Implement promotion activity in accordance with the forecast and react accordingly.
I was the in charge of the Despatch area at Trafford Park Bakery controlling three shifts, each of 5 people, ensuring the product was despatched to the customer as accurately and efficiently as possible. This involved close liaisons with customers, production and the planning department. This also involved co-ordinating haulage firms for availability of vehicles for our product. Another part of this role was to generate Budgets and to control costs in the department. Reduced overtime costs in department by recruiting extra part time workers.
